Ferries for the island of Elba

Elba is reachable by ferry by embarking at Piombino on one of the ferries of the four companies (Toremar, Moby Lines, Blu Navy and Corsica Ferries). These ferries provide a comfortable trip with hourly departures. In only one hour the ferry covers the nine kilometers which separate the island from the continent, arriving safely at the harbors of Portoferraio, Rio Marina or Cavo.
There is however, an alternate route for pedestrians only, by taking a fast hydro float boat which reaches Portoferraio in only 30 minutes.
